Default Suggested optimizations for future versions

Hey,
as a long time User of ProTools I would like to suggest two new features in future versions:

1. A search dialogue or search box within the Audiosuite or Plugin window to search for my favorite plugins....as I have so many I don't need to scroll through all the folders and mouse wheel scrolling within the long lists never worked properly. Makes working a lot faster and more efficient.

2. a makro based (or other technique) chain of plugins which I can arrange for me, e.g. first take this specific EQ, +3db high frequencys from 1600HZ than take that Compressor Threhold -11db...blabla etc.

That would be great. The whole Cloud stuff is not relevant for me.

Thanks a lot, sorry for my bad english, I am from germany,

best,
Olli

Hello and welcome to the forum.
You should post your ideas on Pro Tools IdeaScale, where they will have a better shot of being picked up.

These forums are for general discussions, helping others and getting community help for your own system.

1-if you find your favorite plugins and Ctrl-click on each, they will then appear at the top of the main plugins window.

2-track presets Its a well-known "hack" that is so well-known(to most of us anyway) that Avid has yet to actually implement it but there are tutorials on youtube. And session templates are also extremely handy. Example:
My "band" template has tracks for a full drumkit(with bus compression and room verb), Bass DI track(with an AUX track amp sim), tracks for 2 acoustic guitars, 4 electric guitars, organ(DB-33), piano(MiniGrand), Keyboard(motif es8), 4 tracks for vocals, aux tracks with reverbs(for acoustics, electrics and vocals) and aux tracks for talkback(automated with Sound Radix Mute-o-matic plugin). This template is loaded with every plugin I normally mix with(any plugins with latency are inactive at the start and I make them active when I get to mix time).

Back to the Track Preset hack, (a "Track Preset" can be 1 track or any number of tracks) I have presets for a complete drum kit, acoustic(2 audio tracks plus a reverb/aux track), track presets for several VI instruments(anything that gets a lot of use). And all Track Presets and Session Templates have all headphone sends in place and dialed, so much so, that when I start a new session with a band, they will probably request less than 5 changes to the headphone mixes(6 mixes total)

There are actually already ideas submitted for both of these on Ideascale (if I understand them correctly), but sadly ignored by Avid (at least for now).

Rather than submitting duplicates again, the best thing you can do is rally your vote behind the existing submissions, some of which already have 1,000s of votes:

Also worth looking through some of what's there, to see what others deserve support! A few of my faves, in case you're interested:
