AAE -1125 Error message
Has anyone else gotten this error message? It's a new one on me (and I've been through plenty of them!).
I only seem to get it on a couple of my interfaces. When I have my HD IO 16x16 and HD Omni connected everything is fine but when I try to use my HDX card with either of my Lynx Aurora 16 interfaces I get this error every time. The Aurora's have the latest firmware installed and always worked fine with Pro Tools 10HD but now I'm on 12.7 they won't work. Here's my rig Macbook Pro Retina 2014 Sonnet Thunderbolt Chassis HDX card Aurora 16's (x2) Pro Tools 12.7.1 HD El Capitan Mac OS |

Re: AAE -1125 Error message
I had it this week when I built a new os drive for my HDX rig. I was making the jump to a fresh drive w sierra and Pt 12.7.1 . I then got the -1125 on every start up. A very nice Avid Tech support gentleman helped me find a set of library files that refused to be trashed even with a total fresh PT install. Once those were removed manually and then a new fresh PT was installed then the system booted.

Re: AAE -1125 Error message
John, thanks for the reply. Yes, I did send an email to Paul at Lynx and he got back to me with some suggestions for trashing some prefs. Haven't done that yet but will try it.
Notable, thanks for the reply also. Don't suppose you made a list of those files the Avid guy had you trash? Those could def come in useful, done some of that in the past but don't remember exactly which ones they had me delete. |

Re: AAE -1125 Error message
I'm away from my rig or I'd look in my trash for you (but I habitually delete them). I will email the avid tech now to see if its in his notes. I did reseat my card also... but the problem persisted till the avid related library file was manually tossed. Did you reseat?

Re: AAE -1125 Error message
Thanks Notable, I will try reseating but I think you're right, it's hidden remnant files. This happened to me once before with a different issue. Thanks for taking the time to see if the Avid person has a list of those files but no worries if not or if it's a hassle.

Re: AAE -1125 Error message
I have a similar problem:
I have an Aurora 16 with LT-HD card connected to port 1, and two 192's connected to port 2 of my HDX card. With the Aurora connected, I get the AAE -1125 error message, and Pro Tools won't launch. If I disconnect the Aurora, then Pro Tools launches and recognises the two 192's. This happens no matter which cables or ports I use - the Aurora doesn't work, and the two 192's always do. This made me think that the HDX card is OK, and the fault is with the Aurora. The annoying thing is that the Aurora works on two other systems with Native HD cards, so now I am not sure whether it or the HDX card is at fault. This system worked fine for a few years, so hardware-wise, nothing has changed. I thought it might have been the newer PT HD software, but even PT HD 10 won't see the Aurora. I have updated the firmware on the Aurora main unit (ver 28) and the LT-HD card (ver 11), and also tried out other LT-HD cards. Always the same. Mac OS 10.9.5, 16GB RAM, Mac Pro 2008, PT HD 12.7.1 |

Re: AAE -1125 Error message
Hi
Did you ever find which files to delete? My Lynx Aurora 16 is not seen at all by PT, or I get the AAE -1125 error. If I run Digitest 12.7.1, the HDX card passes with no errors if the two 192's, but not the Aurora are plugged in. If the Aurora is connected, I get errors, as shown in the attachment. |
