Regions not showing on Timeline when Import Session Data
Hello,
I am using Pro Tools 8.1.1 and I am having several problems. The main problem is when I try to import session data from another session. The regions appear in the region list but not in the Timeline. After that when I even try to delete the tracks, its says that you are about to delete tracks with regions in it, but they do not show!!!! In this particular case we recorded some foley in a system with Pro Tools LE 7.3.1 and then tried to import them into Pro Tools HD 8.1.1. The funny thing is that if we open the session recorded in LE in and HD system, it works. It's so annoying and we tried everything. Permissions, using the pref and database helper, took out RAM, etc. Is anybody having the same problem? We are desperates, Thanks in advance. Miguel |

Re: Regions not showing on Timeline when Import Session Data
God Bless you too.... but it is bad form to post a question, then go solve it yourself and not explain it to the rest of us who have wasted mental energy pondering your dilemma.
So, to help someone down the road who will no doubt have the same issue; How did you fix it? ff |

Re: Regions not showing on Timeline when Import Session Data
I am sorry for not explaining it well in this thread. It was that, a start time discrepancy. We had to start mixing a tv series and forgot to explain it.
Anyway. Never use as starting timecode something like 23:00:00:00 or you will have problems when importing from a different session. To set the start time in your session, press Command + 2 (numeric pad) I hope it helps and thanks to everyone. Miguel |
