Actually, it works with 1.71 also. I updated it anyway, once I read your post. Thanks for the heads up.

And there's some missing info from this grid...

Motu is not listed at all.
Spectrasonics Atmosphere and Trilogy lists NC when simply appending .dpm to the plugs worked in 8.0cs3 on PPC machines (looks like 8.0.1 breaks this).
RMX 1.6 is NOT compatible with 8.0.1

PLEASE don't beat this messenger up.

I am now looking into rolling back to 8.0cs3 since I need my old plugs to work on my old PPC mac.

From the note at the top of that page:

Please Note: Digidesign does not directly test or qualify all third party Digidesign Development Partner products for Pro Tools; certain data is supplied by Digidesign Development Partners. If you do not see a product, then the manufacturer has not yet provided the relevant information to Digidesign. Please contact the manufacturer for information.

While it may work it is officially unsupported due to known incompatibilities (which is probably why you're seeing this problem crop up now...)

What makes you believe that's the case?

1. new PT session
2. new stereo instrument
3. instantiate RMX 1.6

crash

4. trash prefs
5. reboot
6. Install RMX 1.8.x
7. happy

Yup. And as long as i am on PPC, I will simply use 8.0cs3 and stay productive.

I will start a new thread - as many of us are still using PPC since this is a very stable config.

I am rolling back to 8.0cs3 for now.
