Trouble Using Third Party Control Surface
I am trying to use the Yamaha AW16G as an external control surface for PT 7.3.1 on a Macbook Pro (Intel) running OS X 10.4. I have downloaded the Cooper Bundle personality file (from the legacy MIDI controllers), which I know will allow the AW4416 to be used. When I go to the Peripherals dialog, I still don't see the Cooper in the dropdown and cannot make Pro Tools recognize the AW16G using the HUI option.
Anybody know where I'm going wrong? Anybody know if it's even possible to use the AW16G? (One thing I just noticed, which may be the problem is that last night when I did this I used the 7.1 legacy controller files. I just found the 7.3 files here. Is that all I need to fix?) When I put the personality file into the Hard Drive:\Applications\Digidesign\Pro Tools\Controllers should it then automatically show up in the Peripherals->MIDI Controllers options? |
