Default Low-end graphics card?

Can anyone recommend a low-end (inexpensive) graphics card for my windows-based system (Asus P9X79 MB, i7-3820 CPU)?

This is not a Pro Tools, issue which is running fine. It’s a Windows 10 issue. When I put my system in “sleep” mode, I will often get a crash dump blaming my graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 series). There are no driver updates for this guy so I’m thinking I need to get something newer that is supported.

Again, my overall PT performance is perfectly adequate as-is, so most any newer replacement will work as long as it gets along with PT.

I run a GeForce 1050 based card in my Windows 10 system and have not had any issues.
You can pick them up int the $150-$180 range depending on the maker.

"When I put my system in “sleep” mode..."

One of the optimizations Avid recommends is to never let your computer sleep or hibernate. Have you done all of the optimizations? Before spending any money, have a look at this thread and do ALL of the optimizations recommended.

I'm using this NVIDEA card, & it actually drives my triple-monitor setup (edit/mix/misc) surprisingly well: https://www.newegg.com/evga-geforce-...82E16814487219

Thanks for the suggestions, I will look into them.

But just to be 100% clear, I am not looking for help in debugging or optimization. Pro Tools is working just fine. I merely want to upgrade the graphics card to something newer that will play nicely with PT and Windows 10. Doesn’t need to be fancy – I run small, low intensity sessions. Just needs to work reliably…

EGS ---

Thanks for the recommendation. Looks like exactly what I need. The latest driver update was earlier this month, so I should be good to go for a while...
