Anyone here doing Surround Work on MC Contol

I'm working on my surround templates for Nuendo 8.1 (running on Windows 10 Pro) with my Controllers (MC Control, 2 Mix & Transport).

I've got a mono channel Kick Drum showing a single source in the panner window in N8.1.

But I'm seeing 2 sources, in attention only mode, on the MC Control Surround window. The one on the left front doesn't move at all. The one in the center is the actual source and moves around on the screen.

Since I'm still learning the translative quirks of this controller, can any of you Artist Series people explain why I'm seeing 2 sources when I'm NOT in multi pan mode? Thanks!

Yes, this is a long time bug that Steinberg need to fix.

Wow, that's a drag! How long has it been like that? I was also disappointed with trying to control pan movements via the touchscreen. It's stuttering at best and downright resistant at worst!

Is anyone here doing surround projects regularly with this hardware? I could use some heads up tips. This has been a pretty frustrating migration from desk to ITB, so far. Every time I think that I've got it set up to work, I run into another quirk.

As we speak, I am now looking into dropping Vegas for Media Composer, because the controllers didn't work at all with Vegas! The whole point of the the migration was to streamline my workflow by having one control handle the same function across platforms. Copy, paste, duplicate, mute, solo, fades and fader moves, at the very least, should transfer between programs. Since MC is EUCON based, I'm hoping my MC Control/Mix will do what I need. I don't HAVE to get the Media Controller module for it to work, right?
