Default Buzzing From One Guitar Only

Never had this problem with my 11R with any other guitar or input. I purchased a Gretsch Baritone guitar which produces a noticeable buzzing sound when I plug it into my 11R. It does not do it when I plug the same guitar into one of my standalone amps - only the 11R. The buzzing stops when I touch the guitars pickup selector or volume or tone pots. Therefore I thought it was a faulty ground. But it does not occur when plugged into any other amp? Any thoughts? Thx.

And other guitar(s) are fine in the 11R?
Does the Grech have a pre-amp built in? (DC offset would be my thinking)

Thx for the reply. It does not happen with any other guitar or a mic for that matter. The Gretsch does not have a built in preamp.

They are called mini humbuckers.

2 thoughts:
1) the humbuckers are not wired correctly and are in single coil mode, but I would think the amp would make similar buzzes
2) the 11R's input impedance is just a little lower than the amp and the Grech doesn't like it

Check all the wiring looks OK/is factory correct. Gretch have some wiring diagrams online, check to see if you can find one there for this guitar. Especially broken or poorly connected ground wires. I don't think (but am not sure) the factory minihumbuckers are three wire/single coil splittable, but check and see it they are/were upgraded/that is what is happening.

Took it back to the tech at my local GC. He and manager decided not to mess with it so they ordered me a new one. I will let you know. Thx.
