Default New Waves Plugins

Just listing these. PT Expert has more description, but so far they've announced:

Tracks Live - Recording software specifically designed for recording live shows.

Signature Butch Vig Vocals Plugin

H-Reverb (supports 5.1 surround)

DBX 160 compressor plugin - Officially licensed by Harman

No info yet on pricing and availability, or what bundles they will be included in.

Ditto, I've been refreshing the Waves home page, Facebook page and my email every 5 or 6 minutes trying to find out some sort of real info about these plugins.

I did just talk to someone on the phone there.

H-Reverb and DBX 160 will be in the Mercury bundle, but no other bundled. Of course you can buy them individually as well.

The Tracks recording software will most likely be sold as a separate product, just like you would buy any other DAW software.

He had no information on pricing yet.

Well, that's a kick in the balls. Would be nice to get SOMEthing for my WUP this year.

I am not a waves user but that h-verb looks insanely versatile. Then Butch Vig... The dude is a master!!!! I am really curious about it. And I don't care what anyone says, the 160 is way overrated imo!

for me, and many others,
nothing like a 160 for parallel drum compression.

it's also allen sides go to comp while tracking vocals.

i even loaned a hardware unit to colin from mc dsp to see if he could model that "stickiness".

for yrs, it's been a piece no models came close to matching…
(haven't tried the UA ver.)
