HUm forgive me, I might have misunderstood, but there are ways to insert a plugin from either the artist control or the artist Mix, and to control the parameter once instantiated.

They do not insert via the Artist controller as they are suppose to, you have to insert them with mouse and then Artist control works for e.q./ dyn, but the bypass doesn't work with Artist control. I believe someone needs to do some coding for these units to work correctly.

We're on OSX 10.7.5 running PT 11 non HD

I know some people have issues with Eucon 3.0 and we are getting the 3.0.1 updste soon but so far we have everything working on our macpro retina 10.8.5 and PT 10.3.7 / 11.0.1

So does this surface work? Is it usable ? Or do more people have issues than are using it for work ?

All the functions look nice but it's not working why bother

What are you asking about? Of course they work! They are not that cheap and even though some people have issues with Eucon protocol doesn't mean everyone have problems. Our 4 units worked right out the box and after updating firmwares and eucon we love them..d

Artist mix's are relatively cheap considering

Why are some people having issues and others working? Is it a Mac vs Windows thing?

I think that the majority of the users have Windows as we are atleast 4 studios here in stockholm who have the same Artist series setup and Mac with no issues at all.

We love them but as we have our D-Control 32ES in the main room we thoght we would update the Pre Production room and get controllers in there aswell so we got the Avid Artist series 2 weks ago and already I think we know them all inside out so I truly hope that the new Eucon update comes along sooner rather than later for all the users who have these problems and have had problms for a long long time.

Anyway they are like all the other controllers, you need to read up properly and watch a few youtube videos to get the most out of these little mini S6 babies

Like I said before, it will not allow you to insert a plugin via Artist Control, only by mouse. It also does not allow you to bypass, unless you use the mouse. There is something funny with 3.0 and our OSX 10.7.5, they do not work well together. We have to often go to "system Prefs" and "stop" eucon, and then "start" eucon again. Very buggy and very disapointed with Eucon.
