Default Waves SSL issue

Is anyone having any problems with the Waves SSL bundle after installing Pro Tools update 7.3.1cs4?

I'm having very strange display problems with just the SSL stuff. Sometimes with putting a SSL plug in on a track, everything just freezes and locks up.

I also just installed the URS CPS pro and thought that might be it, but after uninstalling that I still have problems.

Anyone else? Or is it just me. Any ideas?

Try reinstalling the SSL plug after the URS Channel Strip Pro.

I will check on the display settings.

Thanks,

...and maybe roll back the iLok driver to see what happens.

How do you "roll back" the ilok driver? I did update the ilok driver because I was getting an error when launching Pro Tools. Something like TPk... error, update driver.

I'm not at that computer right now so all of this is from memory.

I have been using the SSL bundle for the past year with great results. They are my "go-to" plug ins. It must have been something I've done in the past few days to cause these problems.

Bumping this back up with some more info:

What else has changed on your system recently? I just updated Pro Tools with the cs4 patch. I had been using ver. 7.3.1 I also installed a demo of the URS CSP on my system, which required me to update the ilok driver. I also updated my display driver after I started having trouble, thought that might help.

Does this happen on a specific session/or on all sessions (including a blank session)? It happens when you open the plug in to look at the settings. It will happen in all sessions, even blank ones. If you open a session that already had the SSL plugs on it. It will play as long as you do not click on the plugin to change the settings.

What is the buffer size of your session? I usually keep my buffer at 128, but this happens at all settings.

What is the sample rate of your session? 44.1k

Does this happen with all the components - Eq Channel and Comp? Yes

Anyone have problems like this? And if so...how did you fix it.

I think it's something related to my graphics card, an ASUS/NVidia GeForce 7600 GS. (ASUS EN7600GS SILENT/HTD/256M GeForce 7600GS 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card )

But like I said, I've used this with no problems since Jan. 2007.
