Reporting an issue after upgrading Eucon from 3.0.1 to 3.1 on Win 7 64 bit and upgrading the firmware on my Artist Mix:

After upgrading from 3.01 to 3.1, and upgrading the firmware on the Artist Mix, Ableton Live would no longer see the virtual midi ports. Downgrading back to 3.01/1.5.1 firmware didn't work, either.

Workaround:
In Windows Device Manager, Euphonix Virtual Midi and Avid Virtual Keyboard Device both displayed errors saying that their drivers weren't properly signed. An exclamation point icon in a yellow triangle was next to each device.

The solution was to press and hold 'F8' during restart once Windows starts to load. Then, select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement from the boot menu."

Avid, could you please release another version with signed drivers? The workaround has security implications.

Tried and failed completely

It was same mess as before

I'm now back on 2.7.1 and the related FW Versions of the devices.
Waiting for an updated (working) AVID Driver.

same here, exclamation marks for Avid Virtual Keyboard Device and Virtual midi drivers...

I mean, really, have they ever heard of beta testing? How can a supposedly 'professional' company release drivers so poorly checked?

You should now have EUControl 3.1 installed but with working virtual keyboard & MIDI drivers.

I've also found that if it's not at first found as a MackieControl device by your DAW (in my case, Live), try:
- Open the Task Manager, make sure EuControl.exe is running. If not, start it.
- Going to Control Panel -> Eucon and in the dialog box reset the channels from, say, 1-4 to 5-8, and then back, clicking through "OK" when it says you need to reboot each time. (you don't really need to, don't worry)

I have a problem, my iMac ethernet port got damaged. I bought an apple (ethernet to thunderbolt) adapter, will it work and I have been having problem setting up my artist mix (mixer) with my FCP 7, I need to mix work but cant link the two need assistance asap.
