Default Melodyne And PT

Hello!

You still have to play the audio track into Melodyne. Why?

In Studio One, you activate Melodyne on the track, and the audio is THERE, waiting to be edited!

Am I missing a setting or something?

Work-flow, meehn!!

I agree, but there is this cheat that DetroitT mentions:

http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p...02#post2482802

Personally I just immediately "undo" the commit action afterwards, and you end up the stuff in Melodyne and no extra tracks. I do this all the time now. (I literally just did this cheat 20 minutes ago )

Hey guys I use the work around also. Nice and fast. It works , thats all that matters to me. Also, don,t forget to "arm" Melodyne before you Commit

ARA is on the radar so we should see it this year. Meanwhile, the Track Commit work-around is a decent time saver In situations where I am only fixing bits, I will add an audio track above the track I am working on. When I find a clip that needs tuning, I copy/paste to this track(which has Melodyne in place), transfer the audio(short clips go plenty fast), tune as needed, bus this "tuning" track back to the source track and record the tuned audio back onto the original track

Yes, the work around is quick, and a simple z keystroke undo’s the newly created committed track.
