Default Native instruments PT 11 WHEN ??

Hi Could I please get some indication of when the AAX updates for maschine will be available to work within Pro Tools 11 ...

It's one of the reasons I purchased maschine as I believed they were AAX ready !

Programming in PT 10 is a nightmare with the ram ceiling...and so want to work in Pro tools 11 since we have the ability to use the ram i have in the computer ..

I look forward to hearing from you..please make it good news !

Hi !

You should rather ask Native Instruments about that ! They are the best informed about what they do or plan to do, don't you think so? ; )

You should reach out to Native Instruments and see what they say.

Except they won't tell you. Already asked via a support ticket and was told this: "NI products are currently not compatible with Pro Tools 11 and its new AAX 2 plug-in interface. Native Instruments is working with Avid to enable support for this platform as soon as possible."

That means they have no idea of when it's happening and aren't telling people even if they did know when the release is happening. NI might not have AAX 64 bit for everything at once either - they could do a phased roll out. That's the way they handled AAX 32 bit - not everything was AAX at one time. Kontakt 5 was the next to last (K5 updated and stayed at K5 - same version) and Battery didn't update to AAX until it became Battery 4 (new version). And some of the effects didn't update until Komplete 9 package rolled out.

Don't bother asking over on the NI forums. I asked there and eventually the thread got locked because of some stupid off topic stuff. But the long and short of it was no one there knows and if they do they're not talking. Evil Dragon over there who seems to think he knows everything about everything got really pi$$y in his replies about the subject.

edit for additional: no need for multiple threads on the same subject; also against the TOS.

I just installed PT 11. I am having issues finding my Native INstruments and all of my other plug ins other than what comes with PT11. I have been searching how to find my plug ins in PT 11... guess I have been wasting my time.

After reading this thread it seems that NI and PT11 are not compatible?? I guess that explains my issue. That pretty much sucks.

Really, I can't use Maschine or anything from Komplete in PT 11??? Wow.

Right, which is why 11 includes a 10 license, so you can use all your current plugs/vi's while the other companies get it in gear.

Just speculation as most predictions but they may be tied into Softube's timeline.
I personally hope it's sooner.

In the meantime grab the free 64bit Bidule then Maschine can run 64 bit via rewire.
not the same but you can use offline and other enhancements 11 offers.

Isn't Softube talking like September?
I'm betting NI will do a phased rollout of AAX 64 bit. The only thing I'm worried about is after plunking down cash for the Komplete 8 to Komplete 9 upgrade I don't feel like paying AGAIN!

I feel ya. I originally took this whole AAX update (Pre 11) as being ready for 11.

I knew better from NI but hoped I was wrong. NI drags their feet on development and updating software. Almost everything in their catalogue was AAX 32 bit except for Battery which just went AAX32 bit with Battery 4 which coincided with Komplete 9 release. That's why I'm saying it's more likely than not going to be a phased rollout and I hope it's Kontakt 5 first (or maybe they'll do a Kontakt 6 as AAX 64 bit?).
