Spill plugin parameters to the faders

I believe the ICON has this? We often use the Cedar DNS range of plugins, and having them mapped to faders would be the best thing since sliced bread.

You can do this with the artist. That functionality isn't buil into the mc pro?

You can? Lucky you! Plugin mapping isn't implemented yet in the MC Pro. It could be done if we were able to flip rotary encoder on single fader instead of globally.

I would love to have the plugin mapping feature. I would also like to be able to flip rotary encoder on fader individually.

+1 on the flip with MC pro.
Even the small MC has got it.
It was probably mentioned already but to be able to custom map plugin parameters globally, so 1 encoder for compressor, 1 for the HFgain.. and so on, that would be great.

When loading a PT session, The MC Pro should automatically recall the layout that was active when saving the session.

And to be honest, the PT10 appset should be made with actual users in mind. The actual one is complete crap (sorry if I offend those who worked on it) and does not reflect real workflows or mixing methods at all.
I know it's meant to be a "starting point" for creating custom appsets, but come on, the PT 10 one is barely useable out of the box.

Hi Steven,
Are you referring to the appset for the MCPro (S5MC)? Or the one for S5 Hybrid?

The S5-MC one. Sorry to put it bluntly like that, but we wouldnt dare sit a freelance mixer in front of it without some serious re-working.
The idea wasn't to offend, so I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers with my comment. But we were quite disappointed when we saw the proposed appset.

The S5 Hybrid one seems OK, however I think you should put a shortcut to the markers on the first page. When mixing quite a few people (me included) seem to use the Markers to recall track hide/show settings and window layouts, the more so as these can be used as a form of "auto-layout" on the S5. Accessing that from the first page seems quite important.

Steven,

I guess you already know that but the great thing about the system 5 MC is the fact that you can reorganize the softkeys layout as you like in very little time. This is how I do it:

1-Just hit one of the "setup" button
2-select a source softkey you would like to copy from any pages
3-hold shift+control+c to copy the source soft keys
4-select a new destination softkey(from any page)where you want to paste the "copied" soft key.
5-hold shift+control+v to copy the soft keys.

If you want to do some clean up and reorganize a custom softkey page, you can also use hold shift+control+x to cut (remove) the softkey and than paste it somewhere else (with shift+control+v).

With this copy and paste shortcuts, you can easily make a few custom softkeys layouts that fits your needs in a matter of minutes.

Then save this new userset so you can share it across all your system 5 mc room...

I forgot one step (after step 5):

6-hit one of the "setup" button again to exit the edit soft key mode.
