Default Downgrading from 10.4.4???

Hi all -

OK.. I'm buying an HD Rig, converting from using Logic Pro 7 in my production studio. The HD parts arrive next week. I've been running 10.4.4. since before I decdied to purchase PT HD. So... now what? Live with 10.4.4 problems or attempt to downgrade? If downgrade, where would I get an install disk of 10.4.3?

Any ideas, tips, etc?

-Tom

I'm not sure what the retail version that is selling is at now, but what ever version you have, you're going to have to do an archive & install. Then update to 10.4.3.

While I wouldn't recommend installing 10.4.4 until it has been approved, I wouldn't dump it until I felt it was giving me problems. Many people have been using without difficulty. It's not like Digi has come out and said that there is a problem with 10.4.4 like they did with 10.3.9. From what I've seen, the problems that people have been complaining about seem to be about certain plug-ins like Mach 5. I guess it depends on how much effort you've put into getting 10.4.4 all set up with your other software. I would burn that bridge when I got to it.

10.4.4 is working here with PT'sHD 7.1 cs4
G5 dual 2.7

I updated for the video drivers but would usually wait for Digi approval.

PS.
Mac Maintenance routines like the cron scripts and running Diskwarrior make a notable difference in system stability,

What crontab entries? I don't have any by default. All I have is a few custom ksh and perl scripts that I've written myself. What should I be scheduling for PT improving tasks?
