can\'t open a session in LE 7.0...session version is TOO new?
I just recorded a session in TDM system and transferred it to my DIgi 02, LE 7.0 and CANNOT open it. It gives me a message " Could not complete the open session...command because it was determined the session version is too new while translating Document info". Anyone has any idea what is going on?? I have recorder to the same TDM system many times before and never had problems. The only difference is that this time I recorded 24 and88.2 instead of the usual 24 and 48K. Please help!.

Re: can\'t open a session in LE 7.0...session version is TOO
i recently had this happen during a session for no apparent reason. session worked fine one day, came back in the next with the mix still up on the board and it wouldn't open with the same error. (wouldn't even open the session file backups it, PT 7.0, had created the day before.)
i had to jump on another system running PT 7.3.1cs5 and do a "save session copy as..." in 5.1-6.9 format. |

Re: can\'t open a session in LE 7.0...session version is TOO new?
Check your system clock and make sure it is set to the correct time and date. Do this on any computer you use.
I have gotten similar messages where it says the date is wrong for using the version of ProTools I have. If I update the date on my computer, the error goes away. The time and date are saved on your motherboard by a little battery backup. It's something you don't normally think about. To change the time and date, open the control panel and select "Date and Time." Hope that helps.

We've seen this a couple times before.
Usually, updating to 7.1 will allow you to open the session properly. |

Exactly right. It is recommended to update to 7.1 and leave 7.0 alone, It has been reported several times.

Re: can\'t open a session in LE 7.0...session version is TOO
is 7.1 a free update? i work in that room all the time so if it is i'll have my guys throw 7.1 on tomorrow.
if i owned the place, it'd be on 7.3. (or more to the point, a pair of A820's.) no offense, digi, but i mixed in another studio the other day using 7.4 and the grief, the grief!!! and i just use pro tools as a "tape machine". |

As for 'the grief' - can you give us more detail about what kind of problems you were experiencing? |

To clarify this, if someone else comes across this issue, you need 7.1cs10 or higher (7.2 will also work) to resolve this error.
