002 tuning on and off by itself

I have my 002 synced with my MV-8000 nad everything was working fine until yesterday....i hit one of the pads on the mv (not sure if this had anything to do with it...probably not.) and then my 002 shut off, then back on. Now when i try to turn it on it says"Loading" then Validating and it makes a click, then it does it again. Do I have a short? Is this something I should take to the place I got it and have them fix/replace it? Or should I send it to Digi?

Sounds like you have the dreaded DC Power Harness issue.
But don't worry, there is hope!

Call digi tech support and tell them what is happening and they'll overnight you the repair kit.
It is quite easy to do and doesn't take long. This happened to me a couple weeks ago.
