Mbox 2 Mini no audio on macbook but works on imac

Hi DUCers,

My iMac is running Mavericks 10.9.5. Mbox 2 Mini firmware is v1.40.

My Macbook Pro running Mavericks 10.9.5 / 2.66GHz / 8 GB RAM / Pro Tools 10.

Here's the issue. Rather then spend the time to install all the same software on my macbook, I made an image of my imac and used that for my macbook.

Everything works except I can't get any audio through my Mbox on the macbook. The light comes on and my system recognizes it but there's zero audio. I tried different USB ports, changing aggregate settings, restarting with the mbox plugged in/restarting with the mbox unplugged.

Mbox works on my imac.

Any ideas? Let me know if you need more info.

Goto settings and i/o in PT and press default on ALL tabs like in out aux both input and output and restart computer.

Start PT with N key held down and when the popup window comes up choose the mbox interface and see if that does it ror you

Sad to say that didn't do the trick. For the record, even outside of pro tools I get no sound through the mbox. No youtube, VLC, quicktime, nothing.

My guess is that either you need to install the mbox on your MBP or something went wrong with the copying over the content.

I have never used any software to copy anything I had to install on to another computer, have always reinstalled every last program on the new Macs so i would start by reinstalling the mbox drivers and see what happens.

Your MBP obviously doesn't see the mbox.

I uninstalled the drivers and re-installed them but still no sound. Any more ideas?

If you reinstalled drivers, what happens if you do the N key launch now?
