Default PT12 Mobilepre compatibility workaround

I just upgraded to PT12. I'm on a PC, my interface is an M-Audio MobilePre. I've been on PT11 for a couple years with my mobilepre with no issues. After installing PT12 I'm not able to open any sessions, I get "unknown exception error" and "unable to read I/O settings" messages. I looked at Avid's list of officially supported interfaces, the mobilepre is under "not officially supported". It ISN'T under "not compatible", just "not officially supported". I have the latest driver for my interface. Has anyone had any success using the MobilePre with PT 12? Does anyone have any suggestions for how to make these two work together? I'm really hoping I don't have to buy a new interface right now, I'm not quite ready for that.

Also, when I try to create a new session, I get this error:

"Could not create a new document because Access violation occurred, unable to read location: 0x0000000000000010."

Launch PT with the "N" key held down and choose your interface when prompted and see if that helps?

Hi Christopher,
I've done that, mobilepre is already selected as the interface, and the problem keeps happening.

Hi

Haveyou installed drivers for the mobilpre that works with your OS and PT12?

I have never seen that interface IRL so I am probably not the right guy to suggest more indepth troubleshooting

I will ask around and see if someone can chime in. Lots of knowledge here on the Forum

I have the latest driver for the mobilepre, it works with my OS, and it worked with pt11, I've been using it for a couple of years. Something is not compatible with pt12, from my online searching it seems to be a hardware issue, and since I have the latest driver I'm not sure what else to do to make it work.
