Activate ProTools license problem

I bought Protools 11 yesterday (in the box). I have spent hours on the avid website just trying to activate it. When I enter the activation code it says I must "update my billing address to continue" it then pops up my address info and I hit "confirm" and the pop up just keeps coming up. I am feeling very ripped off considering I can't get to anyone at Avid and Guitar Center will not do anything for me. $700 down the toilet so far. Please help.

Same issue here!!! Please help!!! have a session tomorrow and have to install today. Of course, you can't call anyone at avid. Even though my purchase gives me a year of support, I can't activate it till I activate the product, and I can't activate the product till I "Update my billing address". The website will not let me confirm address changes so I'm stuck!!!! No good!

Have you guys tried a different billing address as this happened to us a few times too and I changed the city and address to a friends house and all was well. Avid isn't gonna send you anything via post so the correct email is cruicial butvthe physical address can be changed later on when you have time to dabble with that

And hope you get up and running.

I tried updating Josh's shipping/billing address, and it wouldn't let me. Exact same issue that rev32 reported:

It does appear to be something not working correctly. I will contact the webstore immediately to see what's going on with both accounts.

In the meantime, if you are trying to activate a license for Pro Tools 11 and you have not yet used the 30 day trial license, I would suggest the following:

1. Click on the Pro Tools 11 image on the upper right side of the forum
2. Click on the Trial button on the upper right side of the Pro Tools 11 product page
3. Fill out the form with your iLok User ID (what you use to login to www.iLok.com)

That should give you a 30 day license for Pro Tools 11, and access to installer downloads.

Hopefully that will get you going until your permanent license activation issue is worked out.

The head of Avid Support replied back to my urgent message and said they will be in contact with both of you.
Keep an eye on your email junk mail/spam folders to make sure you get their message if it is an email.

Thank you Bruce. Hope I can get this sorted before 11 am tomorrow. Guess I'll try the trial, just don't want to install anything incorrectly as mine personally is a crossbreed from PT Express. Is it still Ok for me to download and activate the trial?

Great News!!! I entered a completely different address/ (a friend) and it worked for me!!! downloading now!!! Thanks for the tip. I'll fix the address later.
