Default How to use X-Key on clip gain?

Hi,

before PT10 I sused the X-key all the time to smoothen hard volume-curves to ramped types. This doesn´t work on clip-gain-curves anymore because X will cut the clip itself.
Insteas one seems to have to grab and drag the breakpoints around.

Is there an alternative shot-cut that would do the same on clip-gain curves like it works with volume curves?

For me the short-cut is faster than grabbing the break-points like a brain surgeon.

thanks,

frank.

good to know. also you can view the clip gain line quickly by hitting ctrl+shift+"-" on a mac.

is it possible to change the clip gain of more than one clip at a time?
shift and opt+shift don't seem to do it.

Yes. Select all the clips, than CONTROL+SHIFT+ UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to raise or lower the level.
I think that even the scroll wheel works, but I don't have a mouse to try this.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the clip gain implementation: it took a lot of time, but works really well.
And I find PT10 much snappier and stable than 9 or 8.

Cntrl+shift+scroll wheel is the way to go. You will go through undo levels like crazy though so be aware of that before attempting it, i.e. an adjustment of +/-16dB will cost you all 32 undos if the .5dB increment is your default.

It's worth pointing out that when using the Selector tool, the cntl-shift-arrow/scroll nudging works on both whole regions and partial regions - if you just select a portion of a region (or portions of regions) it will create breakpoints and a "shelf" in the Clip Gain line.

Also, another great thing is being able to apply gain changes to multiple non-contiguous regions using the object grabber!
