Import session Data - unexpected quit
Hi, I'm experiencing issues when importing audio tracks via Import Session Data. I'm working on PT Ultimate 2018.7 on OSX 10.13.6 and importing Audio Tracks over LAN from old sessions created in PT 7.4
Most of the time Import Session Data works fine as expected, but for some sessions, just after I click "import" , PT crashes with "unexpected quit" without further information. I checked several things but cannot find the reason behind the crashes. - I copied the remote session to my desktop and try to import session data from there --> same crash - When I import some aux tracks (cue sends) this works fine, no crash - When I import some Audio track that has no audio regions, it works fine. - I checked the naming of the tracks and the audio files and the paths and there are no strange characters, in fact it has the default naming Audio_01.wav etc. - But as soon as I import a track with Audio regions - crash. Is there anything else I might check? Is there a known bug in Import Session data? Thank you |

Re: Import session Data - unexpected quit
Several specific bugs have been fixed in 2018.10. You need to read the release notes to see if they apply to you. All easily findable/searchable online.

Re: Import session Data - unexpected quit
Show what to import and see if you can uncheck plugins. Another issue might be the old sessions were done in SD II file format, which can't be read in the current versions of PT(IIRC, PT10 is the last version to allow for SD II audio files)

Re: Import session Data - unexpected quit
Hi I tracked the error down.. The audio tracks that gave me problems when importing had an aux send to a headphone bus . Removing that aux in the source session or unchecking the corresponding item in the track import options solved the problem. But I guess It's still a bug.
