Full PT5 and 001
The answer may be buried here somewhere, but I was wondering if the 001 will be supported by the full version of Pro Tools 5.0?

Re: Full PT5 and 001
Lucky--
There are now two different versions of Pro Tools software: Pro Tools 5.0 TDM and Pro Tools 5.0 LE. The TDM software works with PT24, MIX, and PCI PTIII hardware. The LE software works with 001 and AMIII hardware. So, as noisefloor so eloquently posted, you cannot run TDM software on the 001 hardware. However, you will be able to open an LE session on a TDM rig, and all the plug-ins will automatically change from RTAS to TDM, with all the settings and automation intact. (This assumes of course that the TDM rig has the corresponding plug-ins on their system.) Ted |
