Default Windows Laptop for light sessions

Greetings!

I'm looking for a windows laptop that can run semi-light sessions. Would this HP laptop be able to run Pro Tools 2022? Thanks for feedback 👍

Intel® Core™ i7-1255U

16 GB RAM

IME you may have to increase the RAM and I would recommend a second larger hard drive.

Thanks for the reply!

I have an external 2TB SSD that I'm gonna use with whatever laptop I'm buying.
I'll consider 32GB!

How important is a dedicated video card vs an integrated one?
Again, for light sessions, no video editing.

Get the best CPU your budget allows. See this Intel doc about the full line of 12th gen laptop processers. They have 4 series: HX, H, P, or U series. Try to buy H or HX. On the spec charts, click "view all". Look at base CPU speed and also turbo boost speed. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us...ors-brief.html

No reason for extra video card unless you plan on connecting a bunch of HD video screens. For just one external the onboard video is fine
