Default Re: VIDEO

"I still have hope that when the 001s don't go
flying out the door Digi will make it right. I
just hope they don't loose too much money
before that happens."

I see your points and your valid criticisms.
I guess we'll continue to disagree on the
digi plan.
However, I can't wait to see which one of us
is right about the above statement. I, for
one, would bet a full TDM system that the 001
will be a HUGE hit! I know you and some others
really would like timecode, but you wait and
see the hundreds of 1000's that could care
less and only want to make music using "the
same software that the pro's use". Digi, like
AVID, (they're a perfect match) knows the
power of marketing and having a revered name
out there. I talk to people all the time
that would rather pay more for PT or AVID
when there are as good systems (Paris, MOTU,
Final Cut Pro) that can do the same things
for 1/5th the price. People DO buy the hype
and they will buy the 001's, with or without
timecode. Wait and see...a huge, runaway hit.
(Thanks for debating these points without it
going down the drain like most newsgroup banter.)
Kevin
