Default Using 001 and AMIII?

Ladies, gentlemen,

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a AMIII and 001 together? I mean editing with the AMIII and PT 4.3.1 and then importing the session into 001 and PT 5.0 LE and then mixing? I would then be able to use the 4.3.1 timeline.

Thanks in advance

Jasper

Jasper

That's a very good question. I posted the same some time ago but Digi never replied. Please Digi can you tell us if it will be possible to keep both versions 4.3 (for TC) and 5le (24 tracks) and switch between them using the new DAE. (in other words will 4.3 run with new DAE?)
If it's possible may be AMIII users will update.

Please it's an important information for us.

Thanks
Jean

I was told by a tech (on the phone) that 001/PT5LE does not use DAE at all, it's all built in together.

It's still a good question as to whether or not 4.3 and 5/LE are import compatible. It seems they would be.

I keep reading about how RTAS /TDM plugins will translate, but does anyone know if you can open 25+ track sessions created on a TDM system with PT LE?

PT 5.0 is not compatible with 4.3, but you can save sessions as 4.3 with PT 5.0 LE. So if you really wanted too you could do work in LE then export it as a 4.3 session, and then re open it in LE later.
