I bought the system new. It was a 7.3.
When I upgraded to 8.0 I paid sweetwater for it. When the license came down to ilok, I was told I had to surrender the old license...

Did ilok tell you to surrender? that is unusual. I have upgraded 3 systems and the 7.3-7.4 licenses are still on the Ilok, along with the 8.0 license. Good Luck

yea... my point is I have now paid for PT twice, once for 7 and another for 8, I shouldn't have to pay AGAIN, for 7... But thanks for the offer.

Scott - have you contacted someone at Digi about your situation and, if so, who did you speak to?

The only time you'd have to surrender a license is when you get a discounted upgrade. Is that the case?

In the meantime I'm going to look into any records we have here for you and see if I can figure out where things stand. I don't see any reason why we can't at least give you a temp 7.4 license given the situation...
