ProFire 2626 + Dangerous D-Box: Correct Routing for Summing???
Hi everyone
Been trying to set this up correctly. Anyone out there figure out how to configure everything in the control panel as well as in ProTools to use the analog summing of the D-Box with the ProFire 2626? For extra fun, I do have the API A2D's direct converter inputs to play with in case that might help. But for now, following everything I have found online, I simply cannot figure out the correct configuration for this setup. And I am in the middle of a busy mix week. So, I thought I would throw it out to the interwebs and see what comes back! Thanks russell wolff

Re: ProFire 2626 + Dangerous D-Box: Correct Routing for Summing???
You know. I never returned to this thread. Sorry.
So, it finally worked perfectly. Everything was routed correctly all along. Here was the issue, the master volume knob on the 2626 was all the way down. Since I use the D-Box to monitor my mixes, that never occurred to me. Once it was turned up, all 8 outputs worked perfectly. So, a simple fix

Re: ProFire 2626 + Dangerous D-Box: Correct Routing for Summing???
You can change the internal settings of your pro fire so selected outputs bypass the master volume control.
I do this for my outputs running to outboard gear so I know the same level is going to the outboard. Important if jumping between mixes. Also, you can leave two outputs routed through the master volume for your monitors.
