buy or monthly subscription

Hello pro tools users, I'd like to get an advice on whether I should buy or pay for monthly subscription for pro tools 12. I have pro tools 10.x and have upgraded to mac os yosemite and been on yosemite but was told that I'd have to upgrade my pro tools to 12 to use with mac os yosemite version 10.10.5

So please let me know what I should do. Thanks in advance,

You should be able to get a new perpetual license off of ebay for about $350.00. No reason to rent. Plus a lot of monthly guys have been having problems with their licenses not getting properly renewed from month to month. Take a look in the licensing forum.

^^^What he said!^^^ I read stories every day on here about Avid taking the money, then taking their sweet time to deposit a new license asset, so even though you paid the bill, you're dead in the water for however long it takes to straighten it out. Not a good way to treat customers. Buy the license.
