Alright I've been slowly learning the basics and think I am ready to start trying my hand at the midi thing. I play mostly metal with a lot of riffs that are not in 4/4. I have BFD which everyone seems to give good praise and Battery 2 that came with the computer I bought from someone. So my question is how do I get some nice midi drums that can at least sound somewhat good. I understand you can't maybe make everything sound amazing but I just would want something that sounds somewhat like a band playing. I know BFD has an import option but I'm not sure exactly what to do from there.
I should say I have never really gotten into Midi. Sure I've messed around with it a little bit but I'm far from really knowing what I am doing. So should I just go to pro tools and try to get the drums down there then throw it in BFD and work with the "mic" placements there or what? I just don't know how I can get a good metal sound with MIDI? So anyone with anything to try would be great. Thanks a lot guys. |
