Default Tap into onboard talkback mic without xmon - control cable pinout?

I apologize ahead for being snarky but why the hell hasn't anyone looked it up in a manual? In less than 2 minutes I found a pinout for the DB15. Pin 15 is mic with 8 as ground. Sheesh!

Hi,

Oh Yeah i guess you could try it and see, i very much doubt if the other features would work without the xmon connected, Dim, Auto-talkback etc or if the talk back button itself would wotrk without an xmon connected, but i just don't know for sure.

Top Jimmy, I couldn't find it anywhere in the pdf manual...but now you've said it's there I went and found it in the pdf right towards the end...all I can say is you're a better man than I, and thanks for the effort, much appreciated.
Cheers,

Ryan, I got this working, but as suspected, it's on the whole time, and the talkback button only functions with the xmon, which makes sense. It's a pretty high output and wide pickup but a little noisy. Still have to bring it up an aux channel and use the mute button same as you would with an external talkback mic without a control surface. So the only advantage is that you have a mic in the meter bridge rather than one sitting on the desk. So the wiring was Dsub pin 8 to xlr pin 1, dsub pin 15 to xlr pin 2. xlr pin 3 not connected, connecting it to pin 1 increased the noise floor a little.
Cheers
