Default VST-RTAS

I've read that the FXPansion VST-RTAS that is currently available, does not work with PT v.7. I've also read that they have been working on a version 2 that will support v.7, but i can't seem to find when the release date is for it. Anybody have any information on a version 2? I also heard that they are discontinuing the rewire adapter. Does this mean that it will now be included with the VST adapter?

If you haven't already, you might want to visit their forum at http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=13 for all the late-breaking news.

The basic story is that they're beta'ing it as quickly as possible, and can't commit to being done until it's completely right. It's frustrating a bit, but I think they're doing the correct thing by making sure it's good before they let it out.

And -- it's a waste of time to try to get Angus to tell you to when it'll be out.

Good luck, I feel your pain...

Take care,

GreyLion

Thanks! After looking at that, it seems as though it will "SUPPOSEDLY" be released this week. . . I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I have it and have used it with M-powered V.7 to wrap VST's with no problem? Are we talking about the same thing?

I use version 1 (or whatever number the latest version of 1 was) with pt7 without a problem. I was part of the beta group for 2 but never got to do it due to being too busy, but my understanding was that version 2 takes advantage of the new RTAS handling. Maybe I'm wrong, I'll have to check out the site.

I purchased a secondhand version 1 off of ebay, and installed it, but it didn't work. When I emailed FXPansion, they said that version 1 doesn't support PT7, and that there website even states that it doesn't work with PT7, so I find it hard to believe that your version magically works.

I've used version 1.06 (the latest version 1 available) with PT7. It works, just not as it should.

Version 2.0 is worth it; it works very well with PT7 and solves a lot of problems.

P.S. you got ripped off on eBay.

It works, I promise. However, it was already installed when I put PT7 on, maybe that has something to do with it. I will upgrade to the new one soon enough though, I know it is optomized.
