Default Pro Tools First vs. Pro Tools

Hi All

I'm looking at making the leap to Pro Tools. I'm currently using a Windows pc running Windows 10 professional. I'm used to working with ACID and acidized loops. My goal is to still be able to work with loops and record live instruments.

My question is, which version do you guys recommend? I want to be able to start building my tracks at home using my laptop and then take the laptop over to my friends house and have him record his tracks live. I purchased the Audiovox USB device to connect instruments to. Haven't used it yet though.

What are your thoughts gang?
