Anyone get a PCIe to PCI bridge adapter to work on MAC????

Thanks for looking.

Im not talking about using a hackintosh....but actually using a PCIe to PCI bridge adapter off ebay (generic brand expansion chassis) on your intel mac with PCIe slots?

Obviously, im trying to use older HD PCIx cards in a newer mac. I bought one of the cheaper $50 adapters but, the intel xeon mac that i am using recognizes that there is something there in the slot, however, nothing comes up in pro tools or when i run digitest nothing shows up.

If you have had luck with any of these devices...which one did you use? What OSX version? And which PTHD?

Google magma and pericom chip set. I think you will find a lot of info.

they don't work with HD cards
I've heard nothing good about them in general
