Re: Soooo, how's 10.2 treating everyone?
It's an ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series. I'm gonna hold off on disabling aero, since I've been running it with 0 problems since Pro Tools 9.0. Plus I already went back to 10.1.2 and am completely un-confident that disabling aero will help. I'm just gonna wait til the next update and if I still have the lagging, I'll try disabling aero then. But for now, on 10.1.2, Waves 9 and my GUI are happy with aero!

Re: Soooo, how's 10.2 treating everyone?
Just Updated to 10.2 HD today, I'm running it on a MBP Quad Core, 16gig ram,Lion OS 10.7.4, and it is the best upgrade, it is so fast, the ram cache is a great feature, and with the AAX plugging, I can now use my old TDM plugs like revibe, reverb one, impact ,in a native format, and it feels so much faster and leaner than my HD3 TDM system, I'm coming from PT 9.06, so I went directly to 10.2, and so far it is way more stable for me than 9.06, I'm very happy

Until you are CRUSHING all the standards (Steely Dan, Seal, Tool, whatever) at 16/44.1, you're kidding yourself if you think sample rate matters.

Re: Soooo, how's 10.2 treating everyone?
Hello,
I can't take the time to go through the pages and pages of discussion here but, in my case, 10.2 and Lion has become a drag. It seems to have worked for some weeks but now, I'm getting quitting, freeze of the computer if I try to restart just after quitting, and communication with the Euphonix Artist Mix and Control is a nightmare. The Euphonix(s) are never "seen" right away when starting the computer. I always have to go through the Eucon settings and play around with it until they're finally being "seen". And sometimes, within PT, touching a fader won't do (no control over the track's volume), I have to "wake it up" by doing hard moves until it finally reacts... This, and the quitting thing, is getting very time consuming and stressing. Anyone experiencing such behaviours?... (PT HD 10.2 / Lion 10.7.4 / Mac Intel 2.8GHz Quad Core)

Re: Soooo, how's 10.2 treating everyone?
I'm having zero problems but I don't use a control surface. Of course I am stating the obvious but it sounds like it's related to that.

Re: Soooo, how's 10.2 treating everyone?
Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure at all it's related because it happens even when the surfaces are turned off (during sound editing for example).

I have a friend who got Euphonix Artist HW and he is having major problems too. But he had those problems also with OSX10.6.x. He keeps telling me similar things like you wrote. A couple of weeks ago he mentioned that it got much better as he disabled computer sleep (which one has to disable anyway as Avid says in trouble shootings). Maybe you double check that this is disabled on your Mac within Energy Saver's control panel. On my Mac (with d-command) all is fine with Lion and PT HD 10.2. I really have the impression that the Artist HW isn't that well integrated into PT as it should be and it is causing more trouble as one would get a benefit from. But this is just my personal impression. I hope I'm wrong ! I do not follow the Artist Series Forum regular. ... just my 2 cents ...
