Default Print Mix to Stereo Track Level Question

I have a demo mix that I'm trying to print a mix of rather than bouncing to disk. I created a new audio track and assigned the input of the track as Bus 47-48. I then took my other tracks and in addition to bussing them to my main stereo mix, I bussed them to my "print mix track" at 47-48. When I monitor the level on record pause, the level on the 'print mix track' is identical to that on the master fader, but as soon as I hit record, the level drops about 3 dB. Anyone have any suggestions for it?

I think I just figured it out. I have an L2 on the master fader and on the track I'm trying to print to. During playback, the L2 is active and it must get bypassed when I record.

No. You've got to send to your record track from your monitor track that has the L2 on it. Your record track needs to record the audio that is hotter as a result of going through the limiter.
