Default Is there an easier way?

Hello,

Let me explain. I have opened a session in which 11 songs were recorded within that session. I don't usually so this, but they wanted to blow through the songs quickly and didn't want to wait for subsequent sessions to be opened for each songs. Just kinda one into the other live type feel. We have gone back and overdubbed to this session on several of the songs. I would like to now create individual sessions for each songs. Here in lies the question. Is there an easier way to create individual sessions from this rather than opening a new session and importing each audio file one by one into that session? Then in spot mode, placing each audio file to it's original location. If this is the only way, that's cool. Just wanted to double check before I engaged in this rather lenghty process.

Thanks for you time.

I would imagine "Save Session As" and "Save Session Copy In" would be much easier.

Won't that save the entire session though? I only want to save out one song at a time and create 11 different sessions out of this one larger one.

Thanks for your time.

"Save Session As" saves just the session as a different name, but uses the same audio files in the master session. In this manner, you can save 11 other different sessions, and then edit each one to a single song.

If you wanted to associate the audio with just one song session (for transfer, or backup to disk for instance) you would consolidate the audio in that session, "Save Session Copy In" including the audio, and then remove unused audio from the new session.

I would recommend the second option!!!!
If your audiofiles are all saved in one folder, you might loose some stuff while your cleaning up unused regions...

That's why I only recommended removing unused audio with the second option...

In this case, an extra warning will do no harm!
