Default Saving confusion with multiple sound source

I am currently sequencing on protools using my triton extreme, and E-mu phatt sound module. When I save, and load a session on pro tools I have to manually set the instruments, and settings back on the triton and on the sound module. This is starting to become a headache.
I asked someone about properly saving and loading on other forums, but it seems alot of of peoples does not have a straight answer. Someone mentioned about sending a midi message through before starting back up a session, but I am sorta clueless in that part as I never did it before.
This is my first time integrating pro tools and another sound source so this is sorta new to me. If someone can help me I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I beleive what they were referring to was a sysex dump. Since you didn't say which version you were using, it's a little difficult to direct you to where to find the information about it, but starting on page 186 of the 6.7 ref guide, and page 188 of the 6.4 ref guide there is information about recording and resending sysex from the protools side of things. You will have to check your triton and e-mu manuals for information on how each of those units handles sysex.

Thanks for replying spk guitar.
I am currently running version 5.3.1 xp. So the process is to dump from protools to triton, and the phatt module?
How is this process done?

No, you would record a sysex "dump" from your triton or emu into Protools, then have protools send that info everytime you load the session.

The procedure for protools 5.3.1 is covered on page 160 of the Protools 5.3 reference guide.

It will also be covered somewhere in the Emu sysex specifications
and I'm sure it's covered in the Triton manual, though I don't have one available.

Any more information I could give you would be copying text directly out of the manual(s), and why read it here when you can read it there?
