IS Eleven rack USB 1 or USB 2.0?

I checked a few other places and some say usb and others say usb 2.0.

can someone user tell me for sure please?
or if there was a hardware update?

It's USB 2.0.

"USB" does not necessarily mean USB 1.0, it rarely does. You are quoting a source that says its USB 2.0 and another that is non-specific so not clear why you don't believe what they are telling you? And you could have looked in the Eleven Rack User Guide which is also clear it's USB 2.0.
