Default SOUNDMINER won't run!

I am running PT 12.8.3 and OS 10.10.4. I was having episodes of sections of my PT screen disappearing while having sessions. I read this was a problem and I needed to upgrade my OS, so I did to 10.13.4. That took care of my screen segments disappearing but now my Soundminer won't even start. Apparently because it is as 32 bit application. Supposedly the first time you try to run it you get a warning from the OS that you need to update your app to 64 bit before next fall, then it is supposed to go ahead and let you run it unfettered. Well, I get the warning every time I try to run Soundminer and the app won't ever even start. I've checked with Soundminer support and they say they are working on a 64 bit version that they hope to have ready next fall before the OS deadline. Great! What do I do until then? Has anyone else run into this? How can I make the OS let me go ahead and run Soundminer instead of crashing it each time with the 64 bit warning? Help if you know a way around this. Thanks, Steve

If possible, downgrade to sierra (since you can't get to incremental updates from Apple for High Sierra)

Soundminer 64 bit and Apple
Not until Fall 2018 for 64 bit.
Back to your backup for now.

Sorry to hear you’ve run into trouble. Hope you find a solution.

I learnt about the coming of this limitation/evolvement watching the WWDC 2017. My plan since then is to continue to upgrade macOS, not falling short of PT compatibility, until the last version that still allows for 32-bit apps to run .. and then hope Apple haven’t built in some sort of time bomb into earlier versions.

Soundminer wouldn’t be the only 32-bit app I’d be missing .. until released in a 64-bit version.

I'd love to go back to Sierra but apparently Apple had blocked that road as well. I got a image of Sierra but when I tried to run it, I got this error: This copy of the "install MacOS" application is too old to be opened on this veersion of MacOS. (which is 10.13.4) Looks like an Apple road block to me.

If you want to roll back as far as to the previous OS (High Sierra to just Sierra) you’ll have to:
https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201372

If you read that document but do not fully understand it’s meaning / instruction you’ll probably be better off asking for help.

What wrong with just restoring a backup of 10.13.3?
