monitoring w/out recording...
a little help would be appreciated!
--I'm going in direct to play guitar along with a pre-recorded track. at the moment, seems like the only way that I can hear my signal through the speakers is when I am recording. Is there any way I can hear both the guitar signal and the pre-recorded track without recording? thanks to all! sticky |

Re: monitoring w/out recording...
You want the "Input Only Monitoring" selected rather than Auto Input Monitoring, from I think the "Options" menu. I'm not in front of Pro-Tools but think that is correct. You still have to have record enabled for that track.

Re: monitoring w/out recording...
Keyboard shortcut to toggle between "input-only" and "auto-input" is Option-K ....... green = input-only and grey = auto-input.
