iLok & Plus upgrade?!

Don't know if this is a stupid question??!..
Do I need an iLok in order to get the PT7 LE plus upgrade?

From what I understand, yes. You at least need an iLok account at www.ilok.com in order for Digi to have a place to send your plug in authorizations. I'm not sure if you need an iLok *before* you make the purchase, though.

I'm pretty sure you don't need an iLok to run PT LE, though, if that's what you are asking- just the plugins you'll get with the PLUS package.

Ilok is only used to provide authorisations for the plugins.

When you buy the upgrade (if it is the upgrade with 2 plugins) you need to put in the username
for your ilok account (just create on at www.ilok.com), but you dont need to have an
ilok installed. You only need iLok to run the plugins.

Later on when you buy an iLok, you can just syncronize with iLok.com and you will then have
your plugins available. Or if you find out you don't need the plugins, you could sell them and
just use iLok.com to transfer ownership of them, i guess.

Yes.

But if you don't want to buy the iLok dongle at this point, please don't order the regular update. I'd be happy to paypal you $50 after you have ordered your PLUS upgrade and had Digi deliver licenses of DINR & Slightly Rude Compressor to my "jfreak" iLok account That'd make it a $49 upgrade for you instead of $75.
