Hi,
will we see this incredible lack fixed one day?
it will be wonderful... also the possibility to save the entire set of key commands for single application...

Uhm, that seems to work OK here, at least in Mail --- just assign a "key" type command to a softkey, and make that command cmd-c for the copy key, and cmd-v for paste....

Doesn't it do that in PT? Gotta check that...

ROFLMAO - you are funny, but correct. Except that is a totally different cut/copy/paste than what we are hoping for.

Editing the softkey pages is a little tedious and long winded. If they added a way to cut/copy/paste the softkeys and even pages of softkeys in the EuControl editor it would make this feature much more usable. IMO!

btw, is it possible to edit some files? As a workaround while we're waiting for this feature?

So, I haven't actually done it yet due to time, but someone else with more time can be the first.

User Prefs for soft keys are in an XML file and should be able to be opened in an XML editor (or text editor for that matter). It can't be that hard to figure out...

For fun, I just opened "Pro Tools.xml." with Mac Text Edit. Yup, it looks like it wouldn't take long for a non-XMLer like my self to figure out how to copy/cut/paste and edit soft keys a lot quicker.

REMEMBER to work from a backup and not the original!

nice! I'm going to do that this weekend for sure. I have found that there are a few "bad" soft keys for PTHD. I had to edit them to be correct.

The "midi real time properties" window softkey on page 18 is written wrong for instance.
