Glad to see I'm not going insane. We recently did an update and this was my first "HUH?" moment. Isn't it wonderful to have something you've been doing for years suddenly taken away from you?

I hate it, bring back the old way.

I suppose I could RTFM, but does anyone know how it actually works now?

Hi,

don't want to step on your toes, but for midi editing to be able to switch between velocity and notes is so important. I would never want to go back...
So I think all we need is recall function for a restored zoom setting...

I would like to chime in here too. I have rtfm but I must be missing something because this is slowing me down. I also can't understand why, when in region view, the midi notes can be very fat (zoomed in height) but when you go into Notes view ( for the same region) the midi notes are Zoomed way out and extremely thin. The midi keyboard on the side is zoomed similarly according to view. Is there a way to view notes the same zoom in Notes view as what you see in Region view. Makes sense to me that when you change from one to the other that the zoom is the same.

Definately take it away/have option to turn it off, slowing me up lots.
While we are at it, being able to have different levels of vertical zoom on different tracks is really annoying. Some end up thin and some really fat, bearing no correlation to the audio recorded in them and as yet I have not found a way to reset all tracks to the default vertical zoom.
Bring back the old E to zoom.

Hi again,

today I took the time to try to really understand the intention of this PT7 E Zoom recall feature. But it didn't make sense to me, no matter how hard I tried. Especially with Midi. I can't predict what is coming out.
Digi - could you please make a statement for how to nicely use it or maybe change it?

*BUMP*

Unless i have missed any other threads, what is the latest feelings.

I haven't used PT7 in anger yet, and am using 6.9 still, but obviously the change must happen soon.

I use the 'E' feature every edit, and don't want to have to select a bit of a region first.

How are people getting around this?

I am going to practise now, and see what i can do to make it similar, but any suggestions would be lovely!

Cheers

Jake

Also, when you zoom notes in a midi region in notes view, the centre note surely should stay in the middle as you zoom in, but all the notes disappear down and I have to scroll to find them again.
