Default "Some Automation Parameters in the clipboard do not match the paste destination"

Every time I copy Audio to a different track I get this window:

"Some Automation Parameters in the clipboard do not match the paste destination"

Anyone know what this about and how to fix it?

I am working in 8 on an HD system

Does Paste/Special work?

If not...could it be related to this?

Do you have all the same parameters enabled on each track? Are the of the same type? meaning, mono, stereo, etc....

This happens to me if I copy audio from a track with a stereo output (A 1-2) and paste to a track with a mono bus output (Bus 1). I believe this is because the "pan" automation parameters are different. It's annoying. The error message goes away if you set similar outputs to the tracks.

Adamjay:

This is a feature! Unless all the plug-ins, sends, channel type, etc. match, Pro Tools is telling you that you won't get a complete copy of the automation.

I find this quite useful as a reminder while editing and mixing.

Best,
