I've got a similar setup with a twist...

I use the S/PDIF Out off of a ProFire 2626 that goes into a normalled patchbay circuit. This allows me to send the ProFire main out via S/PDIF to a KRK Ergo that feeds my monitors as well as the S/PDIF In on the 11R.

I was initially concerned about impedance issues on the mult'ed or split S/PDIF line, but everything seems to work like a champ.

Hey benoni, great tutorials! However I still have an issue trying to run my eleven rack in this way with my mbox 2 pro. When I have both units plugged into my computer at the same time only the mbox appears in my hardware list in PT. This means I can't setup the spdiff properly. When Only the eleven rack is plugged in it comes up in The hardware list...any thoughts?

That changed in PT 9...you'll need to make your clock adjustments via the Eleven Rack control panel instead.

Thanks for the response. However, I can't seem to find where you change the clock settings for the eleven rack when it's connected via usb. the eleven rack users guide said go into my windows control panel and bring up the eleven rack properties, but there's nothing about clock settings in there...I also can't see the option in The eleven rack window within PT...am I missing something here?

It's under control panel, not the eleven rack on device manager. The eleven Rack shows up as a device on the control panel all by itself. You can change it there.

The sync light on the 003 does not come on because the 003 is using the Internal clock. If you switch the clocks (003 to Spdif and 11R to Internal) you will get the sync light on the 003 because 'it' is sync-ed to the 11R. I cover this in the first tutorial on youtube.

Thanks. I didn't catch that on the vid regarding the synch light, when I swap them I do see it. I have been trying to follow the vid step by step but am having a few issues. Now, why don't I see the S/Pdif input on the ER interface? Or should I? BTW using LE 8.04 and the firmware update that came when I hooked my my ER.

Thanks for the reply, I'll have another look when I get home from site in a week. When you say it appears in control panel all by itself, do you mean that if I click start/control panel then it should have it's own little icon in the first control panel page? I'm using W7, if that makes any difference...
