Default The Eleven free plug in

For the first time I recorded a dry signal. Initated the elven plug and noticed it only has two amps etc., drastcially cut options. Do I have to purchase the plug to get all the amps etc, even though I own the Eleven rack? thanks

would this be where re-amping comes in?

Can you re-route that dry signal back out through the 11R and then back into your DAW, utilizing the DSP in the 11R?

But you do know, you do not need the Eleven plug to re-amp. 11R re-amps by itself wonderfully.

Thats another A/D D/A conversion though. Much better to use the plug unless wanting to use a actual amp I would have thought.

There's no extra ad/da conversion if you're using the digital ins and outs from your interface to the digital ins and outs of the eleven rack.

Ah I see. However, the ER is my interface, so I think that might not be the go for me. Guess Im going to have to pony up for the plug. To be honest, I find it disappointing that you buy the ER then have to buy the plug to have exactly what you already have anyway. Makes no sense to me !!

Just realize the Plugin version of Eleven (RTAS/TDM) does NOT have any effects. Only amps.

Its not that expensive, look here in the Buy Sell section or on eBay. It regularly goes for under $100 for the ilok license, then download the software from the Avid site.

http://www.avid.com/US/products/Eleven/

you can even get a free trial. You will need an iLok for the free trial or to purchase it.
