Read the handle under which I post : it says DigiTechSupt ---> Tech Support !!

not DigiSalesPolicy

Max made an official comment about the pricing policy. I think that post is pretty clear ?

I agree, upgrade prices are way too high and Avid have screwed up big time....

....But I don't need YOU and a few others to constatntly remind me, I can judge for myself.

You DON'T have freedom of speech here. This forum is owned by Avid and you are here as their guest. Avid has been remarkably lenient in tolerating the abuse they have received in the last couple of weeks. Just try trolling the Apple Logic forums and see how far you get!!!!

Put another record on dude, this one is getting old. You've made your point ad nausea.
Wow, that wasn't very nice. I'm sure if we knew each other, it would be more cordial.

Is there some issue with pricing?
Just kidding.

So, most agree the pricing stinks for HD users. So, why not give us heat for free?

DJ, ejwells: I'm paying $10/gallon for gas in the UK. It hurts, especially as I only own a large van and no car. Consider yourselves lucky.

Hi Barry,

To be fair, the Avid Standard Support program has been around for years and has been priced the same for years. Our video customers have been taking advantage of this for a long time (BTW, 1 year for Media Composer retails for $999).

Some audio customers have been taking advantage of them as well, although as we readily admitted, not nearly enough knew about it.

Max, I get that, but you guys are making exceptions that you were not the day before the release if I understand it correctly.

The title of your thread: In Response to Pro Tools HD 10 Feedback

Quote: What we realized quickly was that very few of our audio customers knew about it and therefore could not take advantage of it. Based on this, we wanted fix the problem and create an opportunity for you to get on this retroactively.

I went to bhphoto.com and saw no listing for a pro tools support plan.
