Default McDSP Plug-ins upgrades

are available from their site. Refreshing that they come out as promised, when promised.

…one of the best companies in this game, IMO.

Question...

I tried writing McDSP about this but got no response. I have the Compressor Bank and Filter Bank plugins, that I bought a couple of years ago. I'm not sure I ever registered them. They use key disk authorization. If I download the new 2.0 versions, will I be able to run them? Is the upgrade free? I just don't want to download them and then find out that my authorizatiions are messed up.

Thanks for any tips...

I would assume you contact McDSP, as it says on their website:
- http://www.mcdsp.com/ilok
"Request iLok License Cards for McDSP Plug-Ins" links to email info@mcdsp.com
All you should need to do is contact them to verify your registration and ask for your iLok License Card. You can also purchase an iLok USB Hardware key from them if you don't already have one. McDSP's support is top notch. If for some reason you are not getting a response to your email, check your manual for support contact information.

Hey guys...how do you upgrade? I went to their site, and it says to see the product page for info, yet all there is there are demos of the products. What do you do, install the demo, and it sees your ILOCK and upgrades it or something? What's the trick? Thanks...

If you have authorization running, then the demo IS the upgraded plugin. running the "demo" installer willreplace your current plugin version in your DAE folder.

McDSP's website is a bit unclear about this.

I'm a big fan of Colin's stuff, but I can't understand why he refuses to add dithering to the output. (they truncate to 24 bit) The McDSP stuff seems to have a slight edginess compared to, say, the Waves' stuff. This can sometimes be a good thing, but I'd rather be choosing it on purpose.
Colin claims he leaves the dither off on purpose, as too much dither can create noise build-up. That's ridiculous.

C'mon, Colin!

I might be very wrong about this, but I thought dithering was only important at very low levels for example during fade outs...
I find the new 3.0 upgrades great sounding specially the new C4 version of the compressorbank. The opto and Solid State...
